After a hometown date from hell, The Bachelor's Sean Lowe withheld the rose from early frontrunner Desiree Hartsock.
The L.A.-based bridal stylist was devastated and the audience was stunned, but now the fan favorite will be the one handing out the flowers when The Bachelorette premieres May 27 on ABC.
Although she would not say if her TV journey ended in jewelry, Hartsock spoke to reporters this week about her suitors, strategies and surviving Sean.

It was a Bachelor party at the Thompson Beverly Hills hotel rooftop on Saturday.
Sean Lowe and fiancée Catherine Giudici bonded with former Bachelorette, Ali Fedotowsky, when the trio attended the fifth annual On the Go Mother's Day event.
At the pool party, Fedotowsky – who showed up sans new beau Kevin Manno – "grabbed Sean and Catherine and congratulated them on everything," an onlooker tells PEOPLE. "Sean spoke about his recent stint on Dancing with the Stars and he and Catherine joked about them having choreographed a wedding dance."

It's that eternal question that seems to plague every Bachelor and Bachelorette: Are their potential mates on the show there for "the right reasons?"
If this exclusive sneak peek at Desiree Hartsock as The Bachelorette is any indication, at least one of her suitors – a handsome fella named Brian – may not be.
In a teaser for the new season, Hartsock, 26, is faced with a solemn-looking Chris Harrison and a woman who proclaims, "I'm Brian's girlfriend."

There's an upside to Sean Lowe's elimination on Tuesday from Dancing with the Stars.
The former Bachelor star, 29, can finally give undivided attention to his fiancée, Catherine Giudici, who supported him all season as he competed for the mirrorball trophy with Peta Murgatroyd.
"I've gone from one show to the next for the past 12 or 14 months," Lowe told PEOPLE backstage after being sent home. "It's nice now. I'll have a little bit of a break and I can take a deep breath. [Catherine and I will] definitely take a vacation and relax. I'm definitely going to spend a lot of quality time with her because dancing consumed my life for the past few months, so it'll be nice to play with my dogs – the simple things."

Were Sean Lowe's fans able to save him from being eliminated on Tuesday night's Dancing with the Stars?
On Monday, the former Bachelor star failed to impress the judges with a pair of foot-fumbling routines that put him at the very bottom of the leader board with 42 points out of 60.
Soap star Ingo Rademacher trailed not too far behind with 48 points for the night.
Read on to find out if one of these handsome men were forced to say goodbye to the ballroom.

Three's a crowd?
Hardly for one competitor, who snagged the season's first perfect 30-point score on Dancing with the Stars on Monday.
The trio of 10s came appropriately enough on threesome night, when the stars each teamed up with two pros for the second round of dances.
The trio dances added complexity and sass – and at one point had one judge melting down in an angry clash with his colleagues.

There's no dirty dancing going on between Sean Lowe and Peta Murgatroyd.
The Dancing with the Stars pro tells PEOPLE that despite rumors, she and her partner Lowe, 29, are "just good friends like brother and sister."
The season 14 champ says gossip is to be expected given Lowe's sexy (and sometimes shirtless) routines but that it's tough for the former Bachelor star and his new fiancée, Catherine Giudici. "[The rumors are] something that [have] gotten a little out of hand with Sean and Catherine because they had just gotten engaged and it's just so crazy to think that people are making up all these stories," she says in an interview with PEOPLE. "They have to have something to talk about and it's ridiculous. There's nothing going on."

Sean Lowe had more to celebrate on Monday night's Dancing with the Stars than just a sexy, complimented rumba with partner, Peta Murgatroyd.
The former Bachelor star, 29, whisked away his fiancée, Catherine Giudici to a fancy dinner for her 27th birthday, immediately following the show.
"We had a big party with family and friends at Villa Blanca," Lowe told PEOPLE on Tuesday of former fellow DWTS castmate Lisa Vanderpump's trendy Beverly Hills eatery. "We had a good time celebrating. Peta was there and [pro dancer] Sharna [Burgess] was there."

Andy Dick and his pro partner Sharna Burgess felt a little Dancing déjà vu on Monday, when the judges once again gave them a harsh critique.
"I'm angry, because, for example, Bruno – he stands up every week and says something mean to be funny," Burgess, 27, told PEOPLE backstage after Monday night's show. "You're here to be a judge, to tell us how to be better."
Burgess does commend judge Carrie Ann Inaba for her feedback.
"As far as her giving us a five, yeah, that sucked, but she had constructive criticism at least," Burgess said. "And if she put so much importance on those dead arms, then trust me, we won't have any next week."
