Will Jennifer Lopez have to take the stand?

Almost nine years after Sean Diddy Combs was involved in a nightclub shooting, his then-girlfriend, Lopez, might have to recall that experience in a court of law.

The New York Post reports that Lopez, who was at the club with Combs the night of the shooting, was subpoenaed and asked to tell "all she knows."

Natania Reuben, a woman who was shot in the face at Club New York on Dec. 27, 1999, is suing Combs and rapper Jamal "Shyne" Barrow for $130 million in damages.

Diddy to the Queen: Let's Do Lunch

He may be king of the party scene, but Diddy longs to kick it with some real royalty.

"There is one person I really want to meet: the Queen of England," he told the U.K.'s Telegraph newspaper on Tuesday. "I don't know why I've never met her. She's never invited me to the palace – not yet, anyway."

While he waits (in vain?) for that invitation, Diddy said his tastes have already grown more refined. "I put out a statement that I have given up champagne and tequila," he told the paper. "Champagne doesn't agree with my palate any more, you see."

These days, he insists, "I wouldn't even say that I'm a big drinker."

Tracey Edmonds & Diddy: We're Not Dating

Tracey Edmonds is shooting down a British tabloid report that she is dating music and clothing mogul Diddy.

"Tracey Edmonds never uttered the words quoted in the [tabloid]," her rep tells PEOPLE in an exclusive statement. "The story is a complete fabrication.”

A British paper reported that Edmonds, 41, called Diddy "the man for me" and said that he was funnier then her ex, comedian Eddie Murphy. The report, which was widely picked up on the Internet, went on to claim that Edmonds said Diddy "whisked me off my feet."

Reps for Edmonds and Diddy both deny that the pair are romantically linked.

"Sean is very single," the rep for Diddy says. "He and Tracy have known each other for over 10 years."

Edmonds, who produced the 2001 movie Josie and the Pussycats, split from Murphy, 47, in January only two weeks after they held an intimate wedding in Bora Bora. The ceremony was non-binding and they later said they'd decided to "forego having a legal ceremony."

Despite being accustomed to A-list treatment, he’s looking forward to starting at the bottom of the acting totem pole. “I’m trying to get Michael Bay to shoot me, have a hot soundtrack,” Combs said, "But I also realize I have a lot of work to do as an actor and I gotta prove myself."

Originally posted 02/25/2008 01:55PM

Sean "Diddy" Combs partied the night away on Oscar Sunday – but he still had some time to think about baby gifts for former girlfriend Jennifer Lopez.

On the red carpet at the Academy Award ceremony at the Kodak Theater, the mogul, 38, told PEOPLE that Lopez (now the proud mother of twins) "is going to make a great mother.

"I'm going to send her some Sean John baby clothes," added the dapper Diddy, wearing a tux by Dolce and Gabbana. "I'm so happy for her. It's such a blessing."

Asked if he had any advice for Lopez, 38, Diddy, who is also the father of twins, replied, "It's double the love, and it's also double the crying and the screaming, so it's a unique blessed situation. It's a rarity to have twins. She'll be all right."

Sean 'Diddy' Combs Gets Out the Youth Vote

Originally posted 02/05/2008 01:25PM

Sean Diddy Combs has a Super Tuesday message: Go Vote.

"If we want to stop the war, if we want to get the economy better, I think that young people need to understand they have to take matters into their own hands," Combs, 38, tells the Associated Press. "It is really like waking up a sleeping giant."

In 2004, Combs launched the nonpartisan group Citizen Change and promoted the message "Vote or Die" in an effort to stir young people into making their way inside election booths.

"The seeds that we planted in '04 are now coming to fruition," says Combs. "A lot of young people have decided that this is their future. This president is going to decide their future."

Diddy Denies He's Changing His Name

Originally posted 01/30/2008 02:35PM

From Puff Daddy to P. Diddy then to simply Diddy, it seems like with every season comes a new nickname for music and fashion mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs – but he says new rumors about his name changing are false.

Combs told Ryan Seacrest on the KIIS-FM radio show Wednesday that contrary to reports, he will not be changing his name to Sean John.

"I have been there done that," he told Seacrest. "Too much of the name changing thing is when somebody is going crazy. I'm not going crazy. I'm very sane and I'm not changing my name."

Asked where the rumor came from, Combs revealed the possible source as a fashion show for his clothing line. "I think I made a comment during the Sean John fashion show about it…and I think it got turned into I'm changing my name."
