Whether she's on tour or on set, Selena Gomez probably logs more hours in the makeup chair than the average 21-year-old.
So, is it any wonder she wants to give her skin a break every once in a while?
The singer and actress posted a makeup-free selfie to her official Instagram account recently, proving she doesn't really need a touch up to look gorgeous.
The meaning of her caption, however, is less of a sure thing.

Mom's night out!
Hilary Duff took a night off from baby duty with 19-month-old Luca Cruz to support fellow former Disney darling Selena Gomez at the Los Angeles stop of her "Stars Dance" tour Tuesday night.
The actress, 26, rolled into the Freshtops VIP lounge at the Staples Center with eight girlfriends at the start of the show, and the group of gal pals settled into a corner table, drinking wine and cocktails (a favorite was the "Selena-rita," which included sweet watermelon), an onlooker tells PEOPLE.

Taylor Swift has said she considers Selena Gomez to be like a sister, but Gomez says that although they're close friends, they are not that alike.
"The difference between Taylor and me is she was 16 with the confidence of a 25-year-old. Actually, I should say 80-year-old, because she's such an old soul," the singer says in the December/January issue of Teen Vogue.
"I was not that way. I was very sheltered until about 18 or 19. I still live at home, and I'm 21! She does inspire me like crazy, but I wouldn't change my path, because it allowed me to figure out all that stuff and do it on my own."

Selena Gomez doesn't need to twerk or be scandalous for her fans to love her.
In a nod to her good girl image, the former Disney Channel star told fans at her sold-out show at the Mohegan Sun Arena Saturday to be true to themselves – just like she is.
"Every day I get told I'm not sexy enough or I'm not cool enough or if I did this or if I did that, I would have people who love me," the 21-year-old singer said. "Look at this room! I don't have to do any of that to have love!"
She also talked about how she appreciates that her young fans and their parents "trust" in her for being squeaky clean.

This probably didn't do much to help her aching legs.
Selena Gomez, who is halfway through an exhausting world tour, took a fall from the stage in Fairfax, Va., last Thursday while performing her new single "Slow Down," the 18th and final song of the night.
Fan footage of the incident, which has since gone viral, shows Gomez, 21, jumping up and down during the song's finale, and then hitting the lip of the stage and falling forward onto a walkway.

Vanessa Hudgens seems to have it all figured out.
She's gone from Disney darling to serious actress, challenging herself to take on more heavy-hitting roles while staying grounded and confident.

She's just five concerts into her 58-date Stars Dance tour, but the ice packs are already out for Selena Gomez!
"Now, I hurt. Everywhere," the pop star wrote on Instagram overnight next to a photo of herself reclining wearily in her private jet while icing both legs following a show in Winnipeg.
And no wonder – the 21-year-old's concerts are said to be a whirlwind of dance routines, for which she rehearsed eight hours a day leading up to the tour.
