Shannen Doherty can relate to what Kim Kardashian is going through, having experienced two short-lived marriages herself.
"My one or two other marriages ... weren't so great, and they were quickie," Doherty tells reporters recently at the Television Critics Press Tour.
"My heart goes out to her. I know that. And I also applaud anybody who gets out of something if it's not working regardless of the terrible jokes and press that's going to come at them."
Doherty famously rushed to the altar with Ashley Hamilton in 1993 and called it quits just five months later. She was also briefly married to Paris Hilton's sex tape costar, Rick Salomon.

Shannen Doherty may have made a name for herself on Beverly Hills, 90210, but when it came to her wedding on Saturday, the zip code of choice was Malibu.
The TV actress, 40, who most notably played Brenda Walsh, said "I do" to her fiancé Kurt Iswarienko at sunset, PEOPLE has confirmed.
The black-tie affair took place at a private estate nestled in the hills.

Now that Tori Spelling and Shannen Doherty both have their own wedding-themed reality shows, why not combine them into a little 90210 reunion?
Spelling is up for it!

Shannen Doherty is returning to the small screen – but not as Beverly Hills, 90210's favorite drama queen Brenda Walsh.
Doherty, 40, will star in her own WEtv reality series about her life with her fiancé, celebrity photographer Kurt Iswarienko, Entertainment Weekly reports.
"People will see a side of Shannen they never expected to see," says WEtv executive John Miller.

Shannen Doherty is no stranger to having a ring on her finger.
With two failed marriages under her belt, and one unsuccessful engagement, the 90210 icon could easily bid adieu to the idea of walking down the aisle again. But at 39, Doherty says she hasn't given up on the dream of having her own family.
"I would consider getting married again because I want kids," the Badass book author told PEOPLE Tuesday at her Malibu home. "That's why I would do it. I believe in marriage as a whole because my parents were married for 43 years, so I have the best example in the world of what marriage can be."

As Shannen Doherty told PEOPLE last March, she was inspired to take on the challenge of Dancing with the Stars after her father suffered a devastating stroke on Christmas Day.
Now, the former 90210 actress, 39, has released a statement with the sad news that her dad, John Thomas Doherty, died on Friday. He was 66.
In her statement, issued through her publicist, Doherty called her father the "greatest man in the world . . . I love him with every inch of my being and cannot imagine life without him."

Shannen Doherty is considered an iconic Hollywood "bad girl" of the nineties. But compared to party girls of today, like Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton, the Beverly Hills, 90210 actress considers herself and her former antics relatively tame.
"I never did a sex tape," Doherty, 39, tells Parade. "I never didn't wear panties and flash a camera ... When I made a mistake, I would admit to it. These girls don't seem to see their own mistakes, much less learn from them."
The actress, who says she's "shed" her past negative reputation because today she's "kind of a different person," believes it may be more challenging for Lohan to overcome her struggles.

Actress Shannen Doherty and Cobra Starship singer Gabe Saporta had 26 drinks each Sunday night – and, no, this isn't a preface to an episode of Celebrity Rehab.
Doherty and Saporta weren't exactly enjoying a night on the town. They were judging a regional competition as part of GQ magazine and Bombay Sapphire's search for the nation's "most inspired" bartender.
