Originally posted 05/22/2009 07:40AM

The Cannes Film Festival took a serious turn Thursday night, when Sharon Stone honored the memory of her friend Natasha Richardson at amfAR’s annual Cinema Against AIDS event.

Stone, 51, hosted the annual charity event, held at the Hotel du Cap-Eden Roc on the Cap D'Antibes. The star, who was introduced on stage by studio head Harvey Weinstein, grew teary as she spoke of her friend and co-amfAR worker Richardson, who died in March after a head injury from a skiing accident.

Sharon Stone denies ever recommending that her 8-year-old son get Botox treatments for foot odor, the actress's lawyer says in a statement.

"Sharon Stone never made this statement. It is a complete fabrication," says attorney Martin Singer.

The widely reported comment was contained in court papers as part of Stone's custody tangles with ex-husband, Phil Bronstein. The judge cited the alleged remark as an example of Stone's overreaction to son Roan's medical issues.

Judge Describes Sharon Stone as Overreacting Parent

Originally posted 09/30/2008 09:30PM

Sharon Stone has so overreacted to her 8-year-old son's health issues that she suggested he get a Botox treatment for his smelly feet, according to the judge in the actress's custody case.

In Superior Court papers, the judge also said Stone "delegates many of her parenting responsibilities to third parties" and has "simply refused" to participate in counseling unless her "schedule is accommodated and her demands are met."

"Such conduct on the part of any parent ... is unacceptable and does not serve the child's best interest," the San Francisco judge writes in the document, which is a tentative statement on Stone's motion to modify custody.

The judge has turned down Stone's request to move her son Roan to Los Angeles, where she lives, from his father Phil Bronstein's home in San Francisco. The actress is allowed visitation time with the child, getting some weekends and holidays.

Sharon Stone ex-husband Phil Bronstein has "permanent sole physical custody" of her their 8-year-old son, Roan, according to court papers.

A Superior Court judge found that the boy, who is living with his father in the Bay Area and attending school there, will remain with Bronstein unless Stone, who lives in L.A., relocates to San Francisco or Bronstein decides to move, according to minutes from a Sept. 12 custody hearing.

"The court does not find that (a) move away is in child's best interest," say the minutes. "Court finds that (Bronstein) can provide a more structured continuity, stable, secure, and consistent home that child, Roan, needs. (Bronstein) shall have permanent sole physical custody of child."

Red carpet questions are usually limited to "What are you wearing?" or "Who are you dating?" But when Sharon Stone was unexpectedly asked about the recent earthquake in China – which claimed the lives of 80,000 people – the actress walked right into a political minefield.

"At first, I'm not happy with the way the Chinese are treating the Tibetans ...," she said on camera Thursday at the Cannes Film Festival, referring to the country's alleged human rights violations.
