Shaun White Cleared of Public Intoxication and Vandalism Charges

Shaun White is off the hook, following a September arrest.

Charges against the Olympic snowboarder, 26 – who issued an apology days after being cited for public intoxication and vandalism during the weekend he attended musician Patrick Carney's wedding – have been dropped, the athlete's lawyer confirms to PEOPLE.

The vandalism charge was previously dropped and the public intoxication charge was dropped on Friday.

Shaun White Apologizes for 'My Poor Behavior'

Olympic snowboarder Shaun White issued an apology Tuesday after his arrest for public intoxication and vandalism.

"I want to apologize for the unwise choices I made over the weekend and for any inconvenience it caused my family, friends, business partners, the hotel and their guests," he says in a statement, which he posted on his Facebook page. "I was celebrating a happy occasion with a ton of family and friends and got carried away. I'm truly sorry for my poor behavior."

White, 26, a two-time gold medalist, was arrested early Sunday morning in Nashville, where he was attending musician Patrick Carney's wedding.

Police say White pulled a hotel fire alarm, causing evacuations, then attempted to flee the scene while being pursued by a citizen, who had alerted police. The chase ended when White fell backwards and hit his head against a fence, according to police.

Shaun White Arrested for Public Drunkenness

Olympic snowboarder Shaun White was arrested for vandalism and public intoxication after going on a hotel room rampage that sent him to the hospital early Sunday morning.

White, 26, a two-time gold medalist, was in Nashville at the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel when police were called after he allegedly pulled a fire alarm causing the hotel to be evacuated, according to Nashville police. The athlete then allegedly attempted to flee the scene and was pursued by a citizen, who had alerted police. The chase ended when White fell backwards and hit his head against a fence. He was then transported to a hospital for treatment and released.

Officers responding to the scene Sunday at 2 a.m. reported that White appeared to be extremely intoxicated and smelled strongly of alcohol.

His ex-girlfriend Bar Refaeli says a nice grin "with beautiful teeth is the most attractive thing" in the opposite sex.

"Teeth are the first thing I look at," the Israeli supermodel – ranked at the very top of Maxim's Hot 100 – tells the magazine in its September issue. "With today's orthodontists, I don't understand why people wouldn't fix them."

With pearly whites out of the way, Refaeli, 27, who is currently linked to professional snowboarder Shaun White, also requires that men don't act "too cool for school."

What do Robert Downey Jr., Katy Perry and a few hundred gallons of green slime have in common?

The stars – along with Tina Fey, Steve Carell, Chris Rock, Jackie Chan, Jonah Hill, Queen Latifah, David Spade, Lea Michele, Dev Patel, Miranda Cosgrove, Shaun White and more – are set to help host Kevin James dole out Nickelodeon's 23rd Annual Kids' Choice Awards this Saturday.

In addition to Rihanna and Justin Bieber performing, eight-time Olympic medalist Apolo Anton Ohno will attempt to set a new world record for being catapulted into the show's trademark green slime via the Kids' Choice Awards Slime Slingshot.

The awards will be telecast live from UCLA's Pauley Pavilion on March 27 at 8 p.m. (ET/PT). Until then, kids can cast their votes online in 19 categories including favorite couple, movie actor, singer, athlete and reality show.
