Brad Paisley and Sheryl Crow Celebrate a Country Christmas

When Brad Paisley was a little boy, the best Christmas gifts he ever received included a tent that he pitched in his living room that "stayed up until New Year's," a Battlestar Galactica model kit and most special of all, a guitar his grandfather gave him when he was eight. "Nothing changed my life like that Christmas gift," he says.

Those memories are just some of the holiday stories shared by the country stars appearing on CMA Country Christmas, a TV special airing Monday night (9:30 p.m. ET) on ABC.

Between performances from Kellie Pickler ("Santa Baby), LeAnn Rimes ("Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree"), Sheryl Crow and Brad Paisley (singing a duet of "Run, Run Rudolph") and Darius Rucker (who will sing a new holiday tune), country music's biggest names will share new and old family traditions:

After half a century in the music business, Loretta Lynn is to be honored at next month's CMA Awards, when Miranda Lambert and Sheryl Crow deliver a special performance of Lynn's signature song, "Coal Miner's Daughter."

Lambert and Crow also sang a version of the 1970 hit with Lynn on a tribute album due out Nov. 9. The two were among an eclectic group of artists chosen for the album by Lynn herself – who hand-wrote personal notes to each asking them to participate – among them, Carrie Underwood, Faith Hill, Kid Rock, the White Stripes, Paramore, Alan Jackson and Steve Earle.

If that backup singer on Sheryl Crow's cover of Terence Trent D'Arby's 1988 hit "Sign Your Name" sounds familiar, he should: It's Justin Timberlake!

The "SexyBack" singer lends his trademark vocals to Crow's new album, 100 Miles From Memphis, out Tuesday.

In a behind-the-scenes video of their recording session at L.A.'s Henson Studios that first debuted on Rollingstone.com, Timberlake shares his admiration for the mom-of-two's musical chops. "It's dope, I like her voice so much," he says.

No one can bring out the stars quite like Clive Davis! The music mogul's Pre-Grammy Gala & Salute to Industry Icons (this year honoring Universal Music Group Chairman and CEO Doug Morris) is an annual tradition and one of the biggest parties of the year. And with a bevy of stars – including Jay-Z, Rihanna, Katy Perry, Russell Brand, Taylor Swift, Ne-Yo, Sheryl Crow, Adam Lambert and Barbra Streisand – in attendance, Saturday night's bash at the Beverly Hilton Hotel was no exception.

"It's one of those parties that you have to come to," Ciara, in head-to-toe Givenchy, told PEOPLE on her way in. "I'm excited to see everybody! It's cool to see people that you know, people that you don't know. It's always great to see Clive, and I'm just looking forward to having a great time."

Fergie, in a Zuhair Murad party dress, breezed down the red carpet in a hurry, stopping only to have a happy chat with Nick Jonas. But the singer had a good reason to rush: The Black Eyed Peas opened the show with Slash singing the classic Guns n' Rose's tune "Sweet Child O' Mine."

Sheryl Crow's Son Doesn't Like Her Singing

Originally posted 09/18/2009 12:30PM

Sheryl Crow may have received thunderous applause for her performance with Miley Cyrus at VH1's Divas Live on Thursday, but her 2-year-old son, Wyatt, is fed up with her singing. "I want to sing to him, but right now he's like, 'Mommy, no! All done! All done!' " Crow told PEOPLE at Thursday's event.

That's not to say that Wyatt doesn't appreciate good music. "He's really into kids' music and is listening to a lot of Raffi. I think he thinks if I'm singing that I'm going to work," she says.

Crow, 47, adopted Wyatt when he was two-weeks-old, and last year the singer and her tot traded the glitz of Hollywood for a quieter life in Tennessee.
