It's over already? Eighteen days after her Dec. 8 Las Vegas wedding, Sinead O'Connor announced she is ending her marriage to Barry Herridge, the "Nothing Compares 2 U" singer said Monday on her website.
"Dear friends," O'Connor 45, writes, "I had for reasons u will all understand, wished to keep this private but have been told today it is to be leaked in the next few days despite my best efforts. So I must now leak it myself so as the record is straight."
She blames pressures placed upon him by "certain people in his life" not to be with her based on press reports about her.

Sinead O'Connor said she was too busy for a honeymoon. And sure enough, the Irish singer was back on stage Sunday for a show at Dublin's Olympia Theatre.
The newlywed cut a striking figure in a black leather corset with matching black leather pants, leading her band in a set just 10 days after marrying Barry Herridge in the back of a pink Cadillac in Las Vegas.
O'Connor, 45, was joined on stage by her daughter Roisin, 15, for several songs, the Irish Independent reports.

Her wedding may have been "too glorious for words" but Sinead O'Connor's honeymoon will simply have to wait.
"We don't really have time for that because we're both working a lot," the singer, who tied the knot with Barry Herridge in Las Vegas last Thursday, told PEOPLE Tuesday at the Giorgio Armani and Cinema Society screening of Albert Nobbs in New York.
On the agenda instead? "Lots of snuggling," said the singer, who performed an original song, "Lay Your Head Down," from the film, which stars Screen Actors Guild Award nominee Glenn Close as a woman posing as a man to keep her job as a butler in 19th century Ireland.

Sinead O'Connor's wedding didn't receive quite the Hollywood hype of, say, Kim Kardashian's nuptials, but the private singer seems to have a good sense of humor about it.
In a brief blog post Friday, entitled "About the Glorious Marriage," O'Connor included a snapshot of "the celebrity guests at our wedding," which took place Thursday in Las Vegas.
The accompanying picture? Empty pews.

Nothing compares to ... a drive-thru wedding in Las Vegas!
Just as she'd planned, Sinead O'Connor tied the knot Thursday (her 45th birthday) with fiancé Barry Herridge. But the singer said "I do" in quite the non-traditional fashion – while sitting in the back of a pink Cadillac.
"She wanted to do the whole thing in a Cadillac. That was her thing," a source tells PEOPLE.

It seems the "undisclosed location" for Sinead O'Connor's upcoming wedding will be somewhere in the marriage capital of America – Las Vegas.
The Irish singer, who also turns 45 on Thursday, applied for and received a marriage license Wednesday night.
O'Connor also posted photos on her website showing her and fiancé Barry Herridge en route from Dublin to Sin City for what she called "my absolute dream wedding ceremony."

Nothing compares to ... who?
Look closely – that's none other than Irish singer Sinead O'Connor, performing as a backup singer at a summer music festival in Bray, Ireland, over the weekend.
O'Connor, 44, appeared onstage at the Bray Seaside Festival, where she was photographed supporting reggae artist Natty Wailer.
The singer wore a partially sheer black top, black blazer, black pants and a cross around her neck. She donned glasses and a short, choppy hairstyle – quite a departure from the signature shaved head she sported at the height of her popularity in the '90s.
