Dustin O'Halloran's theme for Amazon's stunning original series Transparent is so simple and aching that it's one of the few theme songs (we're looking at you, OOrange Is the New Black) that we don't mind hearing over and over again during binge-watching sessions.

The streaming service announced Friday that it's picking up A Very Murray Christmas, a special starring Bill Murray and written and directed by Sofia Coppola.
Paying homage to classic variety shows, the special follows Murray playing himself as he worries that no one will show up for his TV show thanks to a massive snowstorm in New York City.

Bill Murray belting out Christmas carols? Who wouldn't like the sound of that!
The actor is teaming up with his Lost in Translation director Sofia Coppola for an upcoming Christmas TV special where he'll put his vocal talent to work.
In a new interview with Variety, Murray shared details about this holiday project.
"It will have a patina style and wit to it," he says, adding, "It will be nice, it's not going to be live. We're going to do it like a little movie. It won't have a format, but it's going to have music and texture. It will have threads through it that are writing. There will be prose."

Believe it or not, Emma Watson considers the Kardashians an inspiration.
In Sofia Coppola's The Bling Ring, Watson, 23, plays an L.A. teenager who becomes part of a criminal gang, and the actress says she has Kourtney, Kim, Khloe and a few other reality TV stars to thank for helping her perfect the role.
"I watched a lot of Keeping up with the Kardashians and The Hills, and I tried to understand the psychology of this kind of girl as much as possible," Watson told reporters at Cannes. "I didn't want her to be just a parody. The accent was hard as it was a particular kind of dialect. I also thought a lot about what her parents must have been like."
Though it's inspired by true events, Watson says the film's more than a crime movie.
