Alicia Keys was definitely on fire Thursday night.
The Grammy-winning singer hosted, performed – and was nearly auctioned off – at the Black Ball "REDUX," an annual event for her organization Keep A Child Alive, which assists those affected by AIDS in Africa, held at New York's legendary Apollo Theatre. The event, which was rescheduled due to Hurricane Sandy, honored Oprah Winfrey for her work in Africa and India and raised $2.9 million.

When Alicia Keys gave birth to son Egypt two years ago everything changed.
"To have this type of love in my life at this time in my life, it means so much. Perspectives change, priorities change," she tells Lara Logan on CBS' Person to Person, airing Friday, Nov. 23 (10:00 p.m. ET).
But motherhood has been a welcomed change for Keys, 31, who tied the knot with rapper-producer Swizz Beatz, 34, in July 2010.

Alicia Keys laughed and giggled the night away with pal La La Anthony at the annual Bronx Charter School for the Arts auction.
The ladies were joined by their husbands – Carmelo Anthony and Swizz Beatz – and an onlooker tells us, "Alicia and Swizz looked more in love than ever, gazing into each other's eyes and kissing like no one was watching."
But their affectionate demeanor didn't stop the duo, who attended with 6-year-old song Kaseem Jr. (from Swizz's previous marriage), from bidding against each other for a guitar signed by the Rolling Stones during the Ciroc Vodka-sponsored event.
In the end, though, Keys ended up taking home a penguin drawing created in collaboration between her husband and some schoolchildren, and Swizz took a turn spinning tracks behind the deejay booth at the party.

Alicia Keys and her husband, rapper/producer Swizz Beatz, have put their Manhattan penthouse on the market for just under $18 million, according to the New York Daily News.
Does the couple need more room now that they have a nearly 2-year-old son, Egypt, running around?

Celebrating the relaunch of his 40/40 club in New York City, new dad Jay-Z arrived around 11 p.m., taking ample time to greet friends and fans. Despite early rumors, Beyoncé, who gave birth to Blue Ivy Jan. 7, was a no-show. Also likely home with her child: Alicia Keys. Her husband Swizz Beats arrived solo to check out the overhauled space and was spotted chatting with Jay-Z in the security-blocked VIP section. B was there in spirit though. The deejay spun blocks of her music, as well as tunes by Michael and Janet Jackson and Britney Spears. CC Sabitha, Fabolous, Ashanti, Mob Wives star Renee Graziano and model Selita Ebanks were also all attendance. Jay-Z left close to 2 a.m. – but not before he had a fun moment with Warren Buffett.
