T.R. Knight has married his longtime boyfriend.

A source confirms to PEOPLE that the former Grey's Anatomy star wed his partner of three years, Patrick Leahy, on Friday.

One of the guests at the nuptials was Knight's friend and former costar Katherine Heigl (their characters, George and Izzie, were also BFFs and at one point lovers on the show).

Heigl posted some pics on Twitter from the wedding, which took place in upstate New York. She wore a red lace dress to the nuptials, and goofed around in a photo booth with her husband, Josh Kelley, and former Grey's costar Kate Walsh.

T.R. Knight has split from Mark Cornelson, his boyfriend of two years, PEOPLE has confirmed.

"It's amicable," says a source of the breakup.

Don't expect the newly single actor, who departed Grey's Anatomy this spring after five seasons on the show, to be spending his nights nursing a broken heart at home: He'll be performing in Parade, his first musical, in Los Angeles through Nov. 15.

The split was first reported by In Touch.

T.R. Knight, Katherine Heigl Not Leaving Grey's Anatomy

Originally posted 02/13/2009 06:20AM

Grey's Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes wants to set the record straight: T.R. Knight and Katherine Heigl are not leaving the show.

"That was a very interesting rumor," Rhimes said Thursday night at the 40th NAACP Image Awards in Los Angeles. "And it's not true."

Rhimes was referring to a recent comment in the press attributed to Grey's castmember James Pickens Jr., in which he was said to be confirming the departure of Heigl and Knight.

"That was absolutely taken out of context," said Rhimes. "Things happen, and ... I think rumors become fact very easily. And you know I don't like to tell you what's going to happen on the show – but that is a rumor," she emphasized.
