Tameka Foster says she doesn't blame her ex-husband Usher for a pool accident that sent her oldest son to the hospital on Aug. 5. But she is angry that it happened when he was away and she was not there to protect the boy herself.
Speaking to Good Morning America's Dan Abrams on Wednesday, Foster, 42, recounted the dreaded phone call she got from Usher, 34, saying it brought her back to the moment when she lost her son Kile Glover last year in a jet ski accident on Georgia's Lake Lanier.
"I said, 'I've had this call before,' " Foster said Wednesday. "I didn't blame him for it. I was just angry that it happened on his watch. Never have my children been injured on my watch."

Usher's son has been released from an Atlanta hospital after being admitted to the ICU last Monday following a frightening pool accident.
Usher Raymond V, the singer's oldest son with his ex-wife Tameka Foster, "is going to be just fine," a source close to The Voice coach tells PEOPLE. "Doctors were taking every precaution to make sure Cinco was okay, but the danger looks like it has passed."
Days after the incident, the 5-year-old was sitting up, smiling, laughing and eating in his hospital bed after nearly drowning when his arm got stuck in a pool drain as he attempted to retrieve a toy.

Usher and Tameka Foster's oldest son, Usher V, is on the mend after a horrifying pool accident earlier this week and Foster couldn't be happier about his recovery.
Foster posted a pic of herself cradling her little boy in the hospital on Thursday.
"My favorite 5-year-old. What a blessing!" she wrote. "I have always loved and appreciated my sons but tragedies and close calls make this even more evident."
She also revealed earlier in the day that Cinco was "resting well" and that they'd "had a SpongeBob marathon ALLL night," because "he wouldn't go to sleep!"

Two days after a scary pool accident sent Usher's oldest son, Usher V, to the hospital, the 5-year-old is doing "okay," according to his mother, Tameka Foster. But the drama may not be over yet.
Foster has requested an emergency child-custody hearing to regain primary custody of the couple's two children, Usher V and Naviyd, 4, reports TMZ.
"Now that it's sunk in, she is livid," says a source close to Foster. "Usher has custody and won't let Tameka have the kids, even when he's out of town. She feels like the kids are being raised by his family or by nannies, when they should be with their mother."

When R&B Star Usher filed for divorce from his wife, Tameka Foster Raymond, last week, few people in the singer's inner circle were shocked.
"No one I've spoken to is surprised," a source close to the couple tells PEOPLE. "As bad as this is gonna sound, it was never a matter of 'I wonder if they'll divorce,' but more like 'I wonder WHEN they'll divorce.'"
Several sources paint a picture of a troubled marriage that started unraveling even before the couple's wedding in September 2007.
"They peaked before they even got married," a friend of Tameka tells PEOPLE. "Right after it was over, they started to drift apart. [Usher] just wasn't ready to settle down, at least not with her."

Usher may have raced to his wife Tameka's side when she apparently suffered cardiac arrest in February in Brazil, but according to sources, that was a brief reunion in an otherwise troubled marriage.
In fact, Usher is expected to file for divorce early next week, according to an insider.
But a source who knows Tameka Foster Raymond says the stylist is still referring to Usher as "my husband" and isn't about to call it quits. "She's been in his life for so long. She's very loyal to him," says the source who knows her. "Tameka is the type of woman to stick it out."

A Brazilian plastic surgeon has revealed details of the procedure that temporarily left Usher's wife, Tameka Raymond, in a medically-induced coma.
Two months after giving birth to the couple's second son, Raymond, 38, traveled to Brazil to have liposuction on her stomach, says Ellen Dasptry, a rep for Sao Paulo plastic surgeon Dr. Silvio Sterman, who was to have performed the surgery.
"Tameka Raymond came here on Friday to do a liposuction. Shortly after she went under [general] anesthesia, she suffered a cardiac arrest," Dasptry tells PEOPLE.
