Taraji P. Henson satisfied her sweet tooth on Thursday night when she attended a Courvoisier Rosé one-year anniversary fete at Toy restaurant in New York City.
The Academy Award-nominated actress posed with a cupcake and was surrounded by a huge, layered tray of them.
"Taraji enjoyed summer drinks made exclusively for theevent," a source tells PEOPLE.
While listening to the sounds of DJ Brooklyn Dawn, guests at the soiree munched on hors d'oeuvres, including mushroom spring rolls and steamed shrimp dumplings by Chef Doron Wong.

There's a funny, snappy film in Think Like a Man, but you have to sit through an hour of product placement to get there.
The product is comedian Steve Harvey's 2009 bestseller Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man, an advice tome that would be sexist except for the fact that it treats men like simple mutts in need of training.
The film shows what happens when frustrated girlfriend Kristen (Gabrielle Union), single mom Candace (Regina Hall), executive Lauren (Taraji P. Henson) and bad dater Mya (Meagan Good) use the book's tactics on a group of basketball buddies, with Harvey himself popping up to guide the audience through the book, chapter by chapter.

Taraji P. Henson shows no hint of shyness as she strikes a sexy – and totally naked – pose for a new ad campaign.
The actress, 40, shows off a toned physique and a sultry stare for PETA's "I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur" campaign.
"I don't think a living being should suffer for the sake of fashion, period," Henson says. "End of story."
Henson's campaign will debut at PETA's New York Fashion Week Bash on Feb. 10, and the ad will also appear on a billboard in L.A.

Reunited, and it feels so good: Oscar nominees Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard will return to host the 2nd annual Soul Train Awards, airing Nov. 28 on Centric.
"You will see our chemistry come alive on television," Henson, 40, tells PEOPLE, while Howard, 41, adds: "You're going to see what friends are about. Soul Train represents family. She tells me I remind her of her daddy, and I tell her she reminds me of my favorite aunt. This is my family."
The program will honor R&B legends Anita Baker, 52, and Ronald Isley, 69, and Henson hints that she may surprise viewers with a few numbers herself. "
