In The Twilight Saga: New Moon, Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart's characters are best friends – and almost more.
In real life, the two costars are as close as their onscreen counterparts. "We have a similar relationship to Jacob and Bella's," Lautner, 17, said Thursday at the Cinema Society and D&G screening in New York City. "We were very open and honest with each other. So it definitely made [filming] a lot easier."
So what does Lauter, who has been romantically linked to country star Taylor Swift, look for in a woman? "It's pretty simple," says the heartthrob. "Somebody who can be themselves and not put on a show."

How Robert Pattinson Felt Doing His New Moon 'Striptease'

When Robert Pattinson bared his glistening chest in Italy last spring, Twi-hards nearly went blind. Now, the Twilight hunk breaks his silence on nearly taking it all off in New Moon!
"I felt pretty goofy stepping out into the sunlight in front of 2,000 people in a town square, ripping my clothes off," he told Parade.com. "I was essentially doing a striptease."
And although Team Edward devotees went berserk over the sight of his bare torso, Pattinson said shooting the scene in front of his fans – who flew across the world to be a part of the crowd – helped him connect with them on a deeper level.
"It was also one of the moments where I've really felt closest to people's emotional attachment to Edward," he says. "It was a moment where I've felt the whole weight of anticipation, and I guess responsibility as well, of being Edward, for all the people who were kind of so obsessed with the stories."

Talk Isn't Cheap For Kristen Stewart

She's one of the biggest actresses in the world right now, but Kristen Stewart says she's still the same old girl she was before she and the Twilight vampires took a bite out of Hollywood.
And nowhere was that more evident than at the Los Angeles premiere of New Moon Monday night, where she and costar and pal (and silver-screen werewolf) Taylor Lautner opened up about their biggest fame anxieties.
"We both had to do talk shows, and we were really nervous about it," Stewart, 19, told PEOPLE on the red carpet. "And we both nailed it, so I was like, 'Congratulations.' "
So why pursue a movie career if life in the spotlight gives her butterflies in the stomach?

Team Edward or Jacob? Zac Efron, Kim Kardashian & Others Weigh In

When New Moon hits theaters on Friday, you can bet that plenty of stars will be in line for the flick along with other members of the public. Since Twilight mania began taking hold last year, everyone from Zac Efron to Kelly Clarkson to Joe Jonas have raved about the franchise. Even President Obama admitted that he and daughter Malia have read the popular series.
Some, like Kim Kardashian, have announced their fandom in less verbal ways: Recently, the reality star toted around a Twilight water bottle emblazoned with Taylor Lautner's face. Count her on Team Jacob!
While en route to her L.A. gym, meanwhile, Ashley Tisdale obviously declared herself on Team Edward, given her water bottle with its visage of Robert Pattinson.

Taylor Swift Likes the Single Life

It's the next best thing to having Taylor Swift show up in the flesh in your living room – the country singer in 3-D on the cover of InStyle magazine's December issue, out Nov. 20.
But the special effects and fashion-magazine first is beside the point for fans who want to learn more about her rumored romance with Taylor Lautner, he costar in the upcoming movie Valentine's Day.
"He and I have gotten really close," she says. "It would be confusing on the set with two Taylors in the same scene. They were like, 'Taylor, on your mark – no, not you, the other one!' So halfway through the shoot, I said, 'How about you guys call me Swifty and call him Taylor?' "

And the love triangle is complete!
Back in August, Bella and Edward from the Twilight saga were immortalized as Barbie dolls. Now, fans will be able to add Jacob to their collection.
The new doll, modeled after Taylor Lautner's boy-turned-werewolf character, Jacob, features cut-off denim shorts, a mysterious gaze, and the super toned abs that have gained attention onscreen and off.
It's available in February for $24.95, and something tells us it won't just be kids buying this Barbie.

Want Sculpted Abs? New Moon Has Them!

It might be chilly and overcast in the town of Forks, Wash., where the Twilight saga is set, but you'd never know it from how often the male characters are sans shirts!
Of course, the werewolf pack – including Taylor Lautner's Jacob Black – has the hot-blooded, shape-shifter excuse. Not to mention, any guy who puts in the work to add 30 lbs. of muscle would want to show it off!
Then there is the highly-anticipated scene in Italy, where Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) sheds his clothes in an attempt reveal his vampire identity to a packed piazza (bloodsuckers sparkle in the daylight).

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart's Close Encounter in Paris

There were fans at the airports, outside their hotels. Fans who waited for hours in the cold. They wore tribute clothing, carried posters and signs, and raised a chorus of cries – "Rob-ert!," "Kris-ten!"
Too bad none were on hand to witness what lucky photographers saw: actual off-screen physical contact between Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.
Fresh from a 10-hour flight from Los Angeles, Pattinson, Stewart, and Taylor Lautner arrived in Paris Monday and checked into the luxurious Hotel de Crillon, before going out for a late-night dinner – where they happened to run into Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas.
