January 30, 2004 QUEER EYE DIET TIPS How can someone on a low-carb diet survive the onslaught of pizza, beer and potato chips one usually encounters on Super Bowl Sunday? That's exactly what Queer Eye for the Straight Guy food and wine expert Ted Allen will teach football greats Marcus Allen (no relation), Troy Aikmen, Terrell Davis and their VIP friends during "The Ultimate Low-Carb Tailgate Party" at the Magnolia Hotel in Houston this Saturday night. Lesson No. 1? Make zero-carb cocktails with spirits like Smirnoff vodka, Jose Cuervo tequila, and Johnnie Walker scotch, Ted says. In the end, Allen, Aikmen and Davis will compete in a zero-carb bartending competition in front of their friends, giving Ted a chance to judge the jocks. Payback for high school?
