Teresa Giudice is coming back to TV after completing an 11-month prison sentence – and Bravo's Daily Dish just released the first look at her emotional return.

In a teaser for the new season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, her husband Joe Giudice says, "Hi honey, welcome home!" as the mom of four sobs and embraces their crying children.

Teresa, 43, was released from the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut, on Dec. 23, 2015, after being found guilty of fraud charges in October 2014.

Teresa Giudice says reporting to prison for a yearlong sentence for mail, wire and bankruptcy fraud last year, and leaving behind her four young daughters, Gia, 15, Gabriella, 12, Milania, 10, and Audriana, 6, was the most difficult thing she's ever done.

"It tore my heart out," she tells PEOPLE exclusively in this week's issue.

From the time she was sentenced in October, 2014, "I felt like I was dying," she says. "I was praying to God like, 'Why? I don't understand, Why?' "

Teresa Giudice isn't holding anything back when it comes to describing her yearlong stint in prison.

When it comes to the prison cuisine, the cookbook author says the choices were grim.

"Everything was expired. In the summer it got around that someone saw maggots in the rice, and that blew around the camp quick," she tells PEOPLE exclusively in this week's isssue. "I was grossed-out and never wanted to eat rice again but at the same time I was starting to cut out the carbs so it kind of worked anyway."
