See Tiger Woods's Extravagant New Estate
Originally posted 02/04/2011 03:05PM
Tiger Woods has been traveling on the PGA golf tour, but his new Jupiter Island, Fla., estate – 4 ½ years in the making – is nearly ready.
"Tiger built this house on more than four lots and has made the surrounding property into a mini Olympic Village," Jeff Lichtenstein, a real estate agent with Illustrated Properties, who has taken aerial shots of the Jupiter Island estate, tells PEOPLE. "It is a property he developed for his own personal use, which also serves as a training facility."
The estate has a four-hole golf course with sand traps, 100 ft.-long swimming pool, diving pool, spa, 100 ft. field and track area, tennis and basketball courts, a pair of boat docks, and a reflecting pond. Inside the facility is a 5,700 sq.-ft. fitness center.
"Tiger virtually built himself his version of a YMCA or world class fitness center," Lichtenstein tells PEOPLE. "His home is not backed up to the water as are most on Jupiter Island because of the golf course."
Unlike many Palm Beach area homes which are Spanish Mediterranean in style, Woods's estate, valued at between $60 and $80 million, is sleek and European with many modern conveniences.

Tiger Woods's Brother Says Dad Would Be 'Disappointed'
Originally posted 10/01/2010 08:30PM
It has been a question many people have asked since last year's accident thrust Tiger Woods into a sex scandal. What would his late father, Earl Woods, think about the golfer's infidelity?
Earl Jr., the oldest half-brother of the golf champ, says that his father would not approve of his son's behavior. "I think my dad would be very disappointed with him," says Earl Jr. in an interview with KSAZ Fox 10 in Phoenix. "He would probably want to know how he's going to fix it. You're grown enough to get into this mess; how are you going to repair it?"
The relationship between Elin Nordegren and her father-in-law was one of respect. "She was family," says Earl Jr. "My dad and her really connected."

"I'd want a mix of good golfers and really funny people ... I'd love to play with Lee Trevino, because he seems like a real fun guy who's got a lot of great stories. Also Ray Romano, because nobody gets down on himself quite like Ray about how bad he's playing so that makes you feel better about your game. Tiger, I would love to play with that guy, I've seen him swing the club and I am utterly fascinated by how that guy hits a golf ball. That would be a pretty fun foursome, right? I could shoot 120 and I wouldn't feel bad."
Mad Men star Jon Hamm, telling Golf Magazine about the other stars with whom he'd love to tee off.

Tiger Woods: It's a Sad Time
Originally posted 08/25/2010 02:15PM
His divorce has been finalized and his ex-wife has opened up to PEOPLE. Now, it's Tiger Woods's turn to speak out.
"I wish her the best in everything," he said Wednesday at a press conference at The Barclays golf tournament in New Jersey. "It's a sad time in our lives. And we're looking forward to how we can help our kids the best way we possibly can. And that's the most important thing."
When a reporter asked Woods if he still loves Elin Nordegren, he didn't answer, instead repeating, "That's the most important thing."
Asked if he was "relieved" with the split, Woods paused. "I don't think that's the word," he says. I think it's just more sadness. Because I don't think you ever – you don't ever go into a marriage looking to get divorced. That's the thing. That's why it is sad."
