Justin Timberlake had already cemented a killer comeback to the pop stratosphere with part 1 of The 20/20 Experience, which, since being released in March, has become the bestselling album of 2013.
So he didn't need to do anything else but take his show on the road this year (his solo tour starts Oct. 31). But this sequel – recorded during the same sessions as the first installment, with the same producers (Timbaland and Jerome "J-Roc" Harmon) – isn't just the collection of leftovers that it could have been.

It's la bella vita for Justin Timberlake and his bride-to-be Jessica Biel.
The happy couple have been celebrating in Italy along with close friends Andy Samberg, Timbaland and 7th Heaven's Beverly Mitchell in advance of their weekend wedding.
According to multiple reports and published photos, on Thursday, Timberlake and Biel hosted a party where guests hung out around open fires and dined on fresh-made cheese, local olives and wine.
Shots of the occasion snapped by Splash News show guests (including former SNL star Samberg) lounging outside on white furniture. According to E! Online, the pair were both casually dressed – Biel in pants and a beige top, and Timberlake in blue pants, a white shirt and a skinny tie.

Don't worry about Timbaland – he never tried to take his own life.

Earlier Wednesday, news broke that Timbaland, 39, fled his house and wanted to harm himself after someone reportedly stole a $2 million watch from his collection.

In-demand hip-hop producer Timbaland is making a rock and roll crossover.
On Ryan Seacrest's "On Air" radio show Thursday, it was announced that he is producing Chris Cornell's third solo album.
"This is the best work I've done in my career," Timbaland told Seacrest. And Cornell – a former member of Audioslave and, most famously, Soundgarden – was equally enthusiastic about the collaboration. Said Cornell: "This is the most excited I've been about an album in years. The music is natural, not self-conscious ... open."
