"Our thoughts are with everyone in Boston tonight," host Tom Bergeron said at the start of Monday's Dancing with the Stars. "My heart is with you."
After opening the show with those somber words of support for those affected by the tragedy in Boston, Dancing's hosts, judges, celebrities and professional dancers went ahead with the performance show, which featured Len Goodman's side-by-side challenge.
They remaining couples had to perform routines simultaneously with another pair of professionals – a tough task for all the dancers. But one pair managed to pull off the first 10s of season 16.

Brooke Burke-Charvet isn't going through her thyroid cancer scare alone.
Not only does she have her immediate brood behind her, but she also has her Dancing with the Stars family.
"She knows my love and support are with [her]," the TV personality's DWTS co-host Tom Bergeron said Thursday on The Talk, just hours after Burke-Charvet revealed she will undergo a thyroidectomy. "We're all right there with her."

With 12 celebrity contestants and their professional partners still remaining on the 15th season of Dancing with the Stars All-Stars, Monday night made jive come alive – with decidedly mixed results.
Emmy-winning emcee Tom Bergeron and co-host Brooke Burke Charvet kept the suspense building until the judges rendered their scores – including the season's first 9 – while the audience audibly jeered those times that lower numbers were delivered.

If Pamela Anderson could do Monday night's cha-cha-cha all over again with partner Tristan MacManus on Dancing with the Stars: All Stars, she says she wouldn't change a thing.
Scoring an evening low of 17 points, Anderson, 45, told reporters backstage after the show, "Humans aren't perfect, and I think it was very brave of us to go that strong with our emotional connection about the dance."
"I think there was a lot of good stuff about it," she continued. "I take it seriously. I write down the song and think about my own personal experiences."

On Monday, when Dancing with the Stars host Tom Bergeron announced that Melissa Gilbert had been injured and rushed to the hospital, he promised an update on her condition.
On Tuesday's results show, Gilbert was still not well enough to be in the ballroom.
"Melissa is not here. She did suffer a mild concussion," Bergeron said. "On her doctor's advice she is taking a rest day and if they get through tonight she'll be able to compete going forward."

Although she's been banged up with a floor burn, cuts, scrapes and sore muscles, Melissa Gilbert delivered what judge Bruno Tonioli called her "best performance by far" on Monday's Dancing with the Stars.
Then moments after finishing the paso doble with Maksim Chmerkovskiy, the actress was sent to the hospital.
"She injured herself," host Tom Bergeron announced on the air Monday night, "and as a precaution she's gone to the hospital to get checked out."
There was no immediate word on the nature or extent of her injury.

First Kirstie Alley was dropped, then she dropped a shoe.
But two ballroom blunders in two weeks in front of millions of Dancing with the Stars viewers – and, of course, the judges – isn't going to hold her back, the show's host, Tom Bergeron, predicted on The Oprah Winfrey Show Thursday.
After joking that Alley and her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy have no chance, Bergeron changes his tune telling the talk show host, "I'm totally kidding. Absolutely. I'd be stunned if I didn't see them at the finals, frankly."
