Tyra Banks Supports Miley Cyrus: 'She Is a 15-Year-Old!'

Don't worry, Miley Cyrus – Tyra Banks has your back.

The model-turned-talk-show host spoke out in support of the Disney star following her controversial photo flap, telling the ladies of The View on Wednesday: "She is a 15-year-old, and I just wish everybody would leave her alone!"

Banks, 34, said provocative photos can come with the territory when you're a young star, and her own mother kept a close eye on her. "There were definitely jobs they would ask me to do," she said, referring to a request for Banks to pose nude for the legendary Pirelli calendar.

But Mama said no-no.

Tyra Fetes Jessica Alba with Onstage Baby Shower

Tyra Banks isn’t exactly known for her subtly – and she was true to form when the talk show host threw a surprise baby shower for expectant mom Jessica Alba on an episode of The Tyra Banks Show set to air Friday. Banks filled the stage with balloons and goodies for Alba, who was on the show to promote her new movie, The Eye.

The gifts for Alba, who is expecting her first child with fiancé Cash Warren, are worth over $6,000, according to MomLogic, which helped pull together the items, including a Valco baby stroller, Cariboo bassinet and Bel Bambini toys and clothes.

'Fat-Gate' Continues: Janice Dickinson vs. Tyra Banks

Janice Dickinson had some unflattering words for her former America's Next Top Model boss Tyra Banks on Monday's Today show (see the video on The Huffington Post). Dickinson, discussing the recent bikini-bashing controversy with Jennifer Love Hewitt, defended the actress, calling her "healthy" and "not emaciated." She then added: "You want to see someone who's fat? I'm sorry, Tyra, Tyra Banks is fat. This girl is not fat." Al Roker called her on it, at which point Dickinson attempted to backtrack.

So far, Banks has not commented – though she may choose to borrow a rallying cry that she herself delivered earlier this year: "Kiss my fat a--!"

Last Night in New York: Tyra Banks Takes a Shot

While the current Victoria's Secret models were strutting their stuff in L.A. Thursday night, famous alum Tyra Banks was enjoying a relaxing night out in New York's Soho neighborhood. Observers spotted her with her mom at haute Mexican restaurant La Esquina, comfortably nestled in a back corner booth for a leisurely dinner. They had a bottle of Pellegrino on the table, but after the meal, a server presented Tyra with a shot. (Though restaurant has plenty of fancy tequilas, Tyra's drink of choice remains a mystery.) After dinner, the pair walked out, and it was clear Tyra hasn't lost her touch: One patron was overheard calling the supermodel "drop-dead gorgeous."
