And on an ABC reunion special, the sparring pair faced off about their failed relationship, hashing out several issues, including tension surrounding Girardi's dog, Chloe.
"My dog was sick, in the hospital with IVs in her, and what was the first thing you said? Do you remember?" Girardi asked her former flame. "Or should I quote you? The split between Bachelor-turned Dancing With the Stars contestant Jake Pavelka, and his fiancé Vienna Girardi seems to be gaining momentum in the rumor mill department.
The latest allegation is that following a June 23 'closure interview' with Bachelor host Chris Harrison, Girardi has gone into hiding, fearful for her safety.
A source close to Pavelka tells PEOPLE, "That's bull. Jake did not threaten her. Anyone that knows Jake – including Vienna – knows that physically threatening someone is not in his character."

Nobody can see a reality check coming better than a reality star.
Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi seemed happy enough when the Bachelor competed on Dancing With the Stars. But Dancing pro Edyta Sliwinksa barely batted a long eyelash when she read about the implosion of their engagement.
"Come on!" Sliwinksa, 29, told PEOPLE at the Eclipse premiere Thursday. "They are both wonderful people, but their relationship was built on sandboxes. I mean, there's no foundation to this relationship. They met on a reality TV show."

Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi met for a follow-up Bachelor interview on Wednesday night, the first time they'd seen each other since they announced what is shaping up to be a bitter split.

Breaking up is hard to do – especially from 2,100 miles away.
Still, The Bachelor's Jake Pavelka, says he had no choice but to end things long-distance with fiancée Vienna Girardi. The reason? He was struggling to get into character for his role on Lifetime's Drop Dead Diva,, which he was filming in Atlanta while Vienna remained in Los Angeles.
"One of the keys to acting is you have to get out of your head," Pavelka, 32, tells PEOPLE. "This [show] didn't hire me to be Jake, they hired me to play Toby Davlin. I can't be Jake and sell this character."
