Originally posted 04/18/2012 01:20AM
Warren Buffett revealed Tuesday he has been diagnosed with stage 1 prostate cancer.
The financier, who turns 82 in August, wrote a letter to shareholders disclosing that his diagnosis came on April 11 after he underwent several tests including a CAT scan, bone scan and MRI. There is no indication of cancer anywhere else in his body.
"The good news is that I've been told by my doctors that my condition is not remotely life-threatening or even debilitating in any meaningful way," he wrote. "I feel great – as if I were in my normal excellent health – and my energy level is 100 percent."

See how one of the world's top film stars lives – away from the spotlight.
George Clooney has opened up his Los Angeles home to CBS News, showing off his kitchen (where he orders dinner), his screening room and bar, for a revival of the classic celebrities-at-home program Person to Person, made famous in the 1950s by Edward R. Murrow.
Along with his palatial digs, the Oscar winner, 50, also introduces viewers to a very special friend – his roommate Einstein, a black cocker spaniel whom he rescued in 2010. "The dog came in and threw himself at me," Clooney recalls, "and I find that works also with some actors."

Jay-Z All Smiles During 40/40 Club Re-Opening
Originally posted 01/19/2012 09:45AM
Celebrating the relaunch of his 40/40 club in New York City, new dad Jay-Z arrived around 11 p.m., taking ample time to greet friends and fans. Despite early rumors, Beyoncé, who gave birth to Blue Ivy Jan. 7, was a no-show. Also likely home with her child: Alicia Keys. Her husband Swizz Beats arrived solo to check out the overhauled space and was spotted chatting with Jay-Z in the security-blocked VIP section. B was there in spirit though. The deejay spun blocks of her music, as well as tunes by Michael and Janet Jackson and Britney Spears. CC Sabitha, Fabolous, Ashanti, Mob Wives star Renee Graziano and model Selita Ebanks were also all attendance. Jay-Z left close to 2 a.m. – but not before he had a fun moment with Warren Buffett.

Investor Warren Buffett and Microsoft founder Bill Gates still lead the pack when it comes to being well-heeled, but in terms of new riches, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg is a force to be reckoned with.
Worth $1.5 billion, the 23-year-old debuts on this year's Forbes magazine's list of the World's Billionaires – where he is ranked 785th.
First- and third-ranked Buffett and Gates (who held the top spot for the previous 13 years running) have fortunes valued at $62 billion and $58 billion, respectively. No. 2 on the list, Mexican telecom tycoon Carlos Slim Helu, has $60 billion, says Forbes.
