Based on the wild cheers inside the ballroom, Cheryl Burke and her injured partner William Levy gave viewers what they wanted on Monday night's Dancing with the Stars. But don't expect the pair to take things a step further with a mid-routine smooch like the one Derek Hough and partner Maria Menounos shared on the Latin-themed episode.
"We like to leave it up to the imagination," Burke, 27, told PEOPLE backstage after the performances, adding that she and Levy have no plans to kiss.
But unlike judge Carrie Ann Inaba, Levy, 31, and Burke don't worry about whether an actual lip-lock was too much for the dance.

After Sherri Shepherd's shocking elimination on Dancing with the Stars last week, the remaining contestants felt the pressure and turned up the heat for Latin Night in the ballroom on Monday.
Taking on the salsa, samba and the Argentine tango, nine couples performed hip-shaking routines that were in some cases downright steamy.
Maria Menounos and Derek Hough performed one of the night's sexiest routines, sealing their salsa with a controversial kiss. "That was hot," Carrie Ann Inaba said, but "I don't think you needed the kiss ... Dance is about the illusion of passion."

Ouch, this one could hurt.
William Levy, one of the front-runners this season on Dancing with the Stars, hurt his ankle in rehearsals Sunday and is questionable for Monday's performance show.
"Just Wanted to let u know that I injured my right ankle pretty bad during rehearsal.. MRI tomorrow. I'll let u all know .. Love u all," the Cuban heartthrob Tweeted.

William Levy became an overnight sensation in the U.S. when he began competing on Dancing with the Stars in March, but the chiseled Cuban actor isn't letting fame go to his head.
"I might be doing all these good things now, but I'm still a very humble person and I think you should never lose that," Levy, 31, told PEOPLE during a break from his shirtless photo shoot for this week's cover story.
"When you lose that, you lose the chance to enjoy life with everyone around you."

Dancing with the Stars hottie William Levy will be waltzing his way to onto local newsstands this Friday in a white, open shirt and a smile that jumps off the PEOPLE cover.
But we couldn't help but wonder what readers may have thought about another cover that didn't make the final cut. In a second version, Levy, 31, wears a different shirt, a different expression and shows off a different (ahem) view of that amazing body.
So we've compared the covers, point by point, to help readers decide.

Six-pack abs? Yawn.
Dancing with the Stars' breakout heartthrob, William Levy, boasts what his partner Cheryl Burke calls "12-pack abs." And his fans have definitely noticed.
"I have never heard it that loud in there," Burke says of the deafening roar that fills the ballroom when Levy takes the floor. "He's like a rock star!"
But while he's turning millions of heads each week on the ABC hit, Levy, 31, is also marveling at how far he's come.

Sure, he's hot. Sure, he's sexy. But William Levy, beware, because Roshon Fegan and Donald Driver say you haven't see the best of them yet.
The season 14 contestants took the sexy Latin actor's sexy, abs-baring salsa routine with partner Cheryl Burke on Monday's Dancing with the Stars as a sign that the showdown has begun.
"William knows the ladies love us, but they love him a little bit more because he took his clothes off," Driver tells PEOPLE.
"I haven't taken my clothes off yet. I'm going to pace myself and talk to the wife and if the wife agrees then I will take it off."

William Levy may be one of the most talked about (and lusted after) celebrities on Dancing with the Stars right now, but he'd prefer people focus on his performances with partner Cheryl Burke.
"At the end of the day, it's about dancing," Levy, 31, told PEOPLE backstage Monday night after he and Burke scored 25 points out of 30 for their quickstep. "I just hope that every day, I can get better and better and better at dancing."
Levy sidestepped any questions about his current relationship status for the second week in a row, politely explaining, "I just don't like talking about my private life. It's the only thing we can really have aside [from everything else] that we can really have for us."
