Wednesday's Idol: What You Didn't See

Stayin' Alive: Jennifer Lopez was the guest mentor on Idol Wednesday, but what the viewers at home couldn't see was that her husband Marc Anthony also treated the crowd to a post-show performance at CBS studios. In the audience Eva Longoria, Sharon Osbourne and Leah Remini cheered during Lopez's rocking number. Then as a surprise, her Latin pop star hubby lip-synched a rendition of the Bee Gees' "Stayin' Alive" – complete with some serious dance moves. Marc's performance was recorded as part of an American Idol Give Back charity project in which multiple stars sing along to the disco hit. It will eventually be available online for 99-cents per download. After the show, the couple walked hand-in-hand as they left, and Lopez told fans that everything is "Great!" as she stopped to sign autographs. Countdown to Judges: With only five minutes left to airtime, none of the Idol judges was anywhere to be found. The stage manager requested that Sharon Osbourne come up and fill in as a guest judge. But then, with only three minutes and 30 seconds to go, Randy Jackson showed up. Next, Paula appeared, making her usual rounds in the crowd and managing to give just about every young fan a hug before taking her seat. Last but not least, Simon Cowell entered the room.
Achy Breaky Blake: There is so much love for Blake Lewis in the Idol house. During one break, a fan held up a sign that read "You Make Me Ache Blake." When Corey (the warm-up man) asked Blake how he felt about that, he said: "Is that a good thing?" The adoring fan shouted. "YES!!!"
On the Sligh: Booted Idol wannabe Chris Sligh was on hand at Wednesday's show, and tried to inconspicuously make his way to his seat – but his signature curly head was impossible to miss as fans broke into a hefty ovation for him. Sligh humbly accepted the praise, signing autographs and taking pictures with fans. But one major Sligh fan wouldn't let him be a shrinking violet: King of Queens star Leah Remini waved him over to exchange hugs and pose for photos with her.

Chris vs. Sanjaya: When it was down to Chris Richardson and Sanjaya Malakar for the bottom three, and Ryan Seacrest announced Richardson's name, audience members booed so loudly the rafters seemed to vibrate. But the season's favorite underdog Sanjaya kept his cool – and his signature smile – throughout.
Goodbye, Haley: Haley Scarnato's family, who wore T-shirts that read "Yo Haley Yo," cheered all night from their front-row seats. When she was named the night's bootee, Haley gave a memorable performance – especially for the camera crews who scrambled to keep up with her as she danced from table to table. At one point, a wire fell dangerously close to Haley's feet, but it was no obstacle for the light-on-her-heels castoff, who deftly skipped over it like a jump rope. After the show, it was another love-fest as the remaining contestants surrounded her for a final group hug.
