Murray, according to the statement by his rep, Miranda Sevcik, "helped identify the circumstances around the death of the pop icon and clarified some inconsistencies."
The statement added, and the police department confirms, "Investigators say the doctor is in no way a suspect and remains a witness to this tragedy." The Los Angeles Times also reports that detectives discovered "no red flag" during the interview, according to someone close to the investigation.
Sevcik further stated that Murray will remain in Los Angeles as long as necessary to help with the investigation into Thursday's sudden death of the pop legend. Per the rep, "Dr. Murray will continue to cooperate fully with the authorities and asks that all keep the Jackson family in their prayers."
