Jackson Neighbors to Crowds: Beat It

The Encino Neighborhood Council has decided to hold a meeting Wednesday to address "concerns over continuing impacts from sightseers and media in the weeks and months ahead," according to a press release from the council.
Since Jackson died, a portion Hayvenhurst Avenue has been blocked off to traffic as fans created a memorial to the pop star and media waited for a glimpse of the family. In the meeting, officials – including a city councilmember and a Los Angeles Police Department Captain – will inform community members about the re-opening of Hayvenhurst and the "protection of neighborhood residents," the release said.
"While the Encino Neighborhood Council recognizes the worldwide interest in the sudden and tragic death of Michael Jackson, and the desire of fans to visit his childhood home, neighborhood residents and businesses need to take back their streets," says the release
