She was destined to have a child, and she'll be wonderful at it.
That's Kelly Rowland's take on the big news that her former Destiny's Child bandmate Beyoncé is expecting her first child with husband Jay-Z.
"I have known for quite a while, and she's happy, and Jay is happy, and that's all that counts," Rowland, 30, told PEOPLE Sunday at the House of Hype VMAs afterparty.
Asked how Beyoncé, 29, will be as a mom, Rowland replies: "I think she'll be an incredible mother, because she's always been motherly. I think that she takes after so many traits from her mother. And I just think it's going to be so natural for her. Its natural for her now!"
Rowland added that the happy couple have already started talking about baby names, but of course she wouldn't spill any secrets there.
