January Jones's son Xander Dane isn't even a week old, but the newborn is already supportive of his Mad Men mommy.
"Her baby had his fingers crossed," the Emmy-winning TV show's creator Matthew Weiner told reporters backstage after accepting an award Sunday night. "She told me that."
The absence of Jones, 33 – who skipped out on the small screen's biggest night to stay home with her little one – definitely didn't go unnoticed by her castmates.
"We just heard from her," Weiner said. "We had a horrible superstition that her not being here was bad for us. We miss her tonight."
Still, Weiner and the others needn't have worried: Mad Men was named best drama for the fourth year running.
