Up for the show's top honor as entertainer of the year are three male stars, one country icon and one female singer with a penchant for roping her own personal dramas into the lyrics of her songs.
But who will take home the big prize? Take our poll below!
Jason Aldean has had a tough year with a divorce in the works and a recent tour bus accident that killed a man, but the Georgia native's career continues red hot with his latest record, "Night Train."
Luke Bryan who graces the cover of the latest issue of PEOPLE Country, took home the ACM entertainer of the year award for 2013, making him a top CMA contender.
Blake Shelton is a certain fan favorite with his crossover profile rising as The Voice's winningest coach. Shelton, 37, who is married to fellow star and Oklahoman Miranda Lambert, was named entertainer of the year last year.
George Strait is known as the king of country music, still holding up the mantle for the traditional wing of the industry. At 61, he's been honored twice already as entertainer of the year, in 1997 and 1998, and is the CMA's most-nominated artist ever. He's also on his farewell tour, making him a sentimental favorite.
Taylor Swift leads the CMA nominations with six. She will also be honored with another career milestone, the CMA's Pinnacle Award, last given out to Garth Brooks in 2005 for an artist who "has achieved both national and international prominence through concert performances and record sales levels unique in country music." She won entertainer of the year in 2008 and 2010.
