VIDEO: Take A Tour Of Kate Middleton's Hometown

Say it aloud: "Bucklebury, Berkshire."

Sounds like a land straight out of a children's fairy tale, no?

To find out whether Kate Middleton's native countryside village is as charming to see at it is to say, we sent PEOPLE's chief foreign correspondent Simon Perry to the Berkshire parish where the future princess grew up – and where her parents, Michael and Carole Middleton, still live.

Ever since the news broke that one of their own would marry Prince William, Bucklebury residents have been "over-excited," local butcher Martin Fidler tells PEOPLE. "It's brilliant. It's put a smile on everybody's face."

Not to mention a reporter on every corner.

"There probably isn't a day that one doesn't turn up," says local shop owner Lynda Tillotson. "We've had German TV here and all sorts." Even the nearby Old Boot Inn has gained notoriety, thanks to the royal couple's visit to the watering hole.

With all the attention focused on Bucklebury (where the Middletons own a party supply business), Mortons Travel has customized their Royal Berkshire tour to feature "Kate Middleton Country."

"We know where she went to school, where she went to church, where she was christened," says Mortons Travel office manager Ros Funnell. "As well as going past her house, we'll drive around parts of Berkshire connected with her – her primary school and a couple of local pubs where she's apparently been seen."

The first tour, to start at 10 a.m. and last until about 4:30 p.m., is set for Feb. 20 and will cost about $16 for adults, and $12 for children. Bookings, adds Funnell, "are going well so far."
