The Sunday Mirror reports that the couple may soon be enjoying their newly wedded bliss on Lizard Island – one among a chain of islands along the Great Barrier Reef off the coast of Queensland, Australia.
Transportation to the island, "tipped as the most likely destination," according to the Mirror, requires a scenic hour-long flight from Cairns.
The white sandy paradise isn't an unlikely post-nuptial destination for the pair. While speaking to Aussie locals last month on a trip to visit towns affected by Cyclone Yasi, William, 28, said, "I love scuba diving. I have always wanted to dive the [Great] Barrier Reef."
He added: "I will have to come back – maybe we'll have a honeymoon in Cairns?"
Middleton, 29, sparked honeymoon speculation last week after she was spotted out shopping at British retailer Warehouse in London, scooping up $350 worth of warm-weather clothes.
Whether they wind up in Jordan, where Middleton spent part of her childhood, returning to the Seychelles in the Indian Ocean, hopping the pond to Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands, or visiting Corfu, Greece, palace sources have yet to confirm an official royal honeymoon destination.
