Let them eat canapés!

After the romantic double kiss seen 'round the world, Prince William and Duchess Catherine retired to the Queen's reception with their 650 guests.

On the menu?





A selection of canapés including:

• Cornish Crab Salad on Lemon Blini

• Pressed Duck Terrine with Fruit Chutney

• Roulade of Goats Cheese with Caramelised Walnuts

• Assortment of Palmiers and Cheese Straws

• Scottish Smoked Salmon Rose on Beetroot Blini

• Quail Eggs with Celery Salt

• White Chocolate Ganache Truffle

• Milk Chocolate Praline with Nuts

To toast the newlyweds, guests will sip Pol Roger NV Brut Reserve champagne, and they'll enjoy a pair of royal wedding cakes.

The chocolate biscuit cake – William's request, made by Mcvitie's Cake Company from a Royal Family recipe – will be served, along with the main wedding cake designed by Fiona Cairns and made from 17 individual fruit cakes.

That traditional fruit cake will feature décor fit for royalty: 900 individually iced flowers.
