William & Kate Set a Glamour Date for Next Week

In the couple's first official public event since they returned from their honeymoon in the Seychelles, Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge will attend next week's glamorous 10th Absolute Return for Kids gala dinner, to benefit the Foundation for Princes William and Harry.

The June 9 event will take place at Perks Field, a stone's throw from Kensington Palace, William's childhood home with his mother, Princess Diana. In a statement, the palace says that the princes' foundation and ARK "share a common vision and commitment to transform the lives of disadvantaged children in the U.K. and around the world."

The couple's appearance will be in recognition of "ARK¹s work and achievements on behalf of children around the world as the charity commemorates its 10th year."



It is also expected that William will announce a collaboration between his foundation and ARK, an insider tells PEOPLE. The foundation was established in 2009 as a fundraising body, which aims to distribute money to causes close to the princes' hearts.

Uma Thurman's on-off boyfriend, Arki Busson, is one of the leading lights in ARK and sits on its international board of trustees.
