Help is on the way: Prince William and Kate will have a combination housekeeper-dresser in their London home, a St. James's Palace source tells PEOPLE.
The couple are due to move into their Kensington Palace quarters within the next month. The new staff member, who has yet to be chosen (the position has only been advertised internally at Buckingham Palace), will periodically provide valet service for the duchess, "rather than helping her choose or buy clothes," the source adds.
The dresser is not a stylist, insiders emphasize, and Kate, 29, will continue to pick her own clothes. The newlyweds will also not have a valet or butler as part of the "limited help" they foresee having in their household.
A palace source explains, "The decision to take on one member of personal staff ties in with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's intention to move out of Clarence House, where they previously benefited from the help of the domestic staff."
At the moment, and in accordance with their own wishes, William and Kate live without help in their main home in Anglesey, north Wales.
