After attending a glittering Hollywood gala, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge saw another side of Los Angeles.
On Sunday, the final day of their North American tour, their motorcade took them to Skid Row, where they visited Inner-City Arts, which provides free instruction to children facing poverty.
Catherine, wearing a navy and white crochet top and a white pleated skirt, both by Whistles, and her husband were greeted by children carrying a banner reading, "Welcome to Inner-City Arts."
After speaking to the kids, the couple got a tour of the campus, where they tried her hands at painting alongside children.
When William asked Catherine what her red-and-green picture was, she laughed, "It's either a tortoise or a snail. I'm not sure."
