Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge
, was a vision in emerald as she attended a special party at Buckingham Palace Monday.
Wearing a green Mulberry dress, she joined Prince William
at the Queen Elizabeth-hosted bash – a curtain raiser for the events next year that will mark the Monarch's Diamond Jubilee of 60 years on the throne – for more than 300 members of the media from around the world.
The party enabled Queen Elizabeth, 85, and her husband Prince Philip, 90, to meet many of the journalists who will be reporting on the landmark year.
Also attending were Prince Charles, 63, and his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, 64, who stopped by before going to the royal film premiere of Hugo
in London's West End.
Displays celebrating the Queen's Golden and Silver Jubilees were established in the palace's East Gallery, and dubbed the "Tweet Suite" for the night so that those who wanted to post online messages about the event could.
