‪It was a case of fashion déjà vu once again for the Duchess of Cambridge Wednesday, when she joined Queen Elizabeth in the same Missoni blue coat she wore for her first outing with the Queen in March, when they headed for tea at the Fortnum & Mason food store.

This time, Kate and husband Prince William were escorting his grandmother to the East Midlands city of Nottingham as part of her Diamond Jubilee tour around the U.K.

The Queen wore a Stewart Parvin-designed turquoise silk tweed double-breasted coat, shift dress with shades of turquoise, gray and ivory and a Rachel Trevor-Morgan hat.

And while the Duke of Edinburgh wasn't with her – he is convalescing at home after five days in the hospital for treatment of a bladder infection – Her Majesty was clearly enjoying being with Kate, who pointed out people in the crowd in the city center.

William and Kate were up early for the drive down from Anglesey, north Wales, to Nottingham, and will head back after the visit, because he is on Royal Air Force duty.

Later on Wednesday, William showed the Queen the fruits of a campaign to preserve open spaces for public recreation and praised his grandmother for her earlier work as patron of his charity Fields in Trust. He added his thanks for "all that you and the Duke of Edinburgh have done throughout your reign to protect these vital outdoor places for the nation."

"How grateful we all are to you for the extraordinary devotion and love you have shown to the people of this country and the Commonwealth," he said.
