He's already a prince, helicopter rescue pilot and father to the future King of England, but now Prince William can add another line to his resume: awards show presenter.

The Duke of Cambridge took on his new role at the BAFTAs in London on Sunday, where he awarded Dame Helen Mirren with an academy fellowship at the Royal Opera House in London alongside actor Jeremy Irons.

Mirren famously won an Academy Award playing William's grandmother Queen Elizabeth II in 2006, and this was something that wasn't lost on William.

The prince, 31, who is president of BAFTA, quipped that Mirren "should probably be called granny," while praising her "outstanding, exceptional contribution to film."

Backstage, the dame joked that, "I wanted to have a hanky in my bag, take it out and spit on it and clean his face a little bit!"

"It was a great honor," she added of receiving her award from William. "Really fantastic. I have never met him before actually and I have to say he is really very sweet and very charming."

Despite rubbing shoulders with Hollywood royalty, there were no showbiz after-parties for William. After presenting the award, he was headed home to Kensington Palace.

Yet it wasn't just William who caused a stir on the BAFTA red carpet as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie enjoyed a PDA-heavy stroll through the arrivals in sexy his-and-hers tuxes.

The Hollywood couple beamed with happiness as they held hands and rubbed each other's backs in the chilly London evening.
