Sometimes even stars get starstruck!
British songstress Ellie Goulding is sharing a few fun details about one of her most "professional" gigs ever – singing for Prince William and Princess Kate on their wedding day.
The Grammy-nominated singer performed her own rendition of Elton John's "Your Song" for the royal couple's first dance as husband and wife in 2011.
During London Fashion Week, Goulding took a taxi ride through the city on her way to the Burberry show with Vanity Fair's Derek Blasberg. And when the car drove past Buckingham Palace, Goulding couldn't resist dishing on her pre-royal wedding performance jitters.
"I did their first dance and like, talk about scary," she said. "I was so nervous, my hands were shaking."
"That's one of my memories, looking down at them [my hand] and just seeing this," she said, imitating her shaking hands.

Goulding, of course, tried to keep her nerves under control, but those who knew her best – like her pianist, Chris – weren't fooled.
"I looked over at him, and he was literally like 'you have to sh-- yourself,'" she said with a laugh. "[He said] 'I know it in your face, I know you literally poo-ed yourself.'"

In fact, Goulding was so overwhelmed by the entire experience that she couldn't really comprehend that it was actually happening.
"I thought I was a decoy," she said. "I thought I was a decoy for someone else. It could happen! At the time, Gaga was everywhere, and rightly so, she was killing it, and you know, Beyoncé and Jay-Z, and then you know, me."
Despite her nerves, Goulding still didn't use the oldest trick in the book to cure her nerves: Imaging the audience – ahem, Will and Kate – in their underwear.
"I did not," she insisted when Blasberg asked. "That was a very professional, very professional show."
