In charming footage released by Charles, 67, on his social media pages to honor "Mothering Sunday" in the U.K. on March 6, Queen Elizabeth is captured in her princess days as a young mother before she had the demands of state on her shoulders.

Shot in 1949, the 50-second home movie is even tagged "produced" by HRH The Princess Elizabeth, underlining that she was yet to be Queen – something that suddenly became her duty three years later.

On Tuesday, mother and son will team up for an engagement when Charles takes the Queen, 89, to see his Prince's Trust, which is marking its 40th anniversary this year. They will visit The Prince's Trust Centre in Kensington, London, to be shown the impact the charity has on young people and hear about the six initiatives run by the Trust to help disadvantaged youths get into education and employment.
Meanwhile, Charles's niece Princess Beatrice posted a cute snap of her mom, Sarah, Duchess of York. Showing her smiling broadly and sitting in a see-through plastic hanging chair, it is simply tagged, "Happy mothers day @SarahTheDuchess thank you!"
