Zara's husband Mike and their 2-year-old daughter Mia both dressed casually for the outdoor event and goofed around as they watched her compete in Gloucestershire, England, on Friday. Mike, a retired rugby star, carried Mia on his shoulders and held her close throughout the equestrian event.

Zara, 34, who is the second-oldest grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II, is competing at the Badminton Horse Trials this weekend in an effort to qualify for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio. She is competing on the same horse with whom she won the silver medal in the 2012 London Olympics.
The Olympic hopeful recently spoke to the BBC about reaching her goal of going to Rio.

"I have got to have good qualifying. It is also about a good result," Zara said. "It would be amazing to go to the Olympics, and it is something we are all working towards, but it is competition by competition."
She added: "The Olympics is the place to be. It is where you want to be, with the rest of the world's sport. It is a unique championship, and to be able to represent your country there is phenomenal."
