In the midst of dealing with her family scandal, Maria Shriver put on a brave face Tuesday night at her best friend Oprah Winfrey's farewell extravaganza taping in Chicago.
When she and Gayle King took the stage together to introduce a segment, the crowd erupted in cheers.
Neither Shriver nor anyone else at the taping spoke out about her ordeal with estranged husband Arnold Schwarzenegger, who publicly admitted to fathering a child out of wedlock earlier that day.
Shriver, 55, looked glamorous in sparkly blue gown at the event, and her voice sounded strong and clear as she struck a personal note with Winfrey.
"You've given me love, support, wisdom," Shriver said before introducing a segment about her friend's love of education. "And most of all, the truth."
