Noureen DeWulf's Olympics Blog: Nice Weather, Warm Hotel Water … and Things that Go Boom!

It's beautiful in Sochi. The weather is above 40 degrees. And my "Beijing-themed" hotel has plenty of hot water, which seems safe (results still pending).
I should thank Charlie Sheen my costar on Anger Management for letting me preshoot my scenes last week so I could come here and support my husband, Ryan.
It feels safe and the people seem very kind (though a little something got lost in the translation at dinner). My hotel room has two adorable twin beds, which I've put together to make a "full." There is also a tent set up for the families of the NHL players where we can use wifi and hang out together.
Last night right before midnight, I heard several large booms and I was really scared until I realized it was fireworks ... even so, I still didn't go onto my balcony to look. My hotel finished construction just yesterday so I wasn't sure how safe it would be to stand so high up outside!
Later I plan on getting an America-themed manicure when I go to the Olympic park and hopefully I can get a ticket to see some figure skating. More on that soon ...!
