The actress known for ABC's Modern Family has been cast in the network's Dirty Dancing remake, Deadline reports.
Hyland will join an already star-studded cast that includes Scream Queens' Abigail Breslin as Baby and Colt Prattes as Johnny, parts originally played by Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze in the 1987 classic.
In the three-hour remake, Hyland will reportedly star as Lisa Houseman, Baby's older, extroverted sister who falls in love with a womanizing waiter during their family's vacation at a Catskills resort. In the original movie, Lisa was played by Jane Brucker.
Debra Messing has also been cast to play Baby's mother.
On Tuesday, Entertainment Weekly confirmed former Pussycat Dolls frontwoman Nicole Scherzinger will also appear in the remake.
A premiere date has not yet been announced.
