Buzz Lightyear and Woody from Toy Story (voiced by Tim Allen and Tom Hanks, respectively) presented the 2016 Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film to fellow Pixar production Inside Out.
Pete Docter and Jonas Rivera accepted the honor with an inspirational speech. Docter said the film was born from watching kids grow up, "which is not easy."
"Anyone out there who's in junior high, high school, suffering, there are days you're going to feel sad, you're going to feel angry, you're going to feel scared, that's nothing you can choose," he said. "But you can make stuff. Make film, draw, write. It'll make a world of difference."
Docter also included a shout-out to the "best cast ever," which included Amy Poehler, Mindy Kaling, Phyllis Smith and Bill Hader.
