Leonardo DiCaprio Getting His Oscar Engraved Is the Best Thing You'll See All Day: 'Do You Do This Every Year?'

Leonardo DiCaprio is still new to the Oscar-winning traditions.

DiCaprio, 41, (finally!) took home the Oscar for Best Actor after five nominations and nearly 22 years in the awards circuit. And after giving his heartfelt acceptance speech and taking countless photos, the actor got his first taste at the winner's life at the Governors Ball.

While at the ball, the actor stopped to get his Oscar engraved – and throw a little playful shade.

"Do you do this every year? I wouldn't know," he quipped, poking fun at just how long-time coming his win truly was.





As the woman continued to polish off the Oscar, DiCaprio is seen getting rather anxious about parting from his beloved golden man, looking around and taping his knuckles against the table.

And when she handed him a maintenance guide, he asked what he needed to do to take care it.

"What does it need?" he asked as he flipped through the pages.



But let's get real, he's going to love this thing more than Jack loved Rose in Titanic. Never. Let. You. Go.

The 88th annual Oscars, hosted by Chris Rock, were presented live on ABC from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California.
