Oscar winner Malden – who won Best Supporting Actor in the 1951 classic A Streetcar Named Desiredied of natural causes July 1, at age 91, in his Brentwood, Calif., home. Michael Douglas, who costarred with Malden in 1972's The Streets of San Francisco, told PEOPLE, "[Karl] was my surrogate father. I love this man with all of my heart."
