Speaking with PEOPLE in 2002, Naomi was quite humble. "I don't think I came into any attractiveness until I was in my late 20s," she said. "I had a moon face and my mum kept saying, 'Oh, your cheekbones will come.'" But the actress didn't seem to care; perhaps a byproduct of her Aussie upbringing. "In Australia people tend to play their looks down," she revealed, and "in America people play them up."
