The actress spent 10 years trying to adopt domestically, but she told Allure, "It never worked." So Ryan tried her luck in China, and in January 2006 brought home daughter Daisy True to join big brother Jack Henry, 19 (her son with ex-husband Dennis Quaid). "I never felt like I was on a rescue mission or anything like that," Ryan says. "I was on a mission to connect with somebody."
