Back when she was playing a preacher's daughter on 7th Heaven, Biel appeared in Disney's I'll Be Home for Christmas. In the 1998 film, she played Allie, a coed frustrated with her schemer boyfriend Jake (played by fellow teen idol Jonathan Taylor Thomas), who is hazed by his buddies and struggles to get home for Christmas. Of course, he learns the truth about the spirit of friendship and family along his journey.
